First days with girls ran fast and so the first week is behind us. They are gaining weight from the very first day and they get stronger. For now they excell in long sleep and milk drinking - these are their specialities! They were also already given their official names. We intoduce you Badger, Berettka, Burn, Broke ana Bazooka.
Girls have doubled their birth weight and their eyes are opening. The very first one who opened her eye was Badger, after her Burn, Bazooka and the last were broke and Beretta. From crawling we attempt to do our first steps. As they are already two weeks old, they got ther first deworming treatment and got their nails cut - which was not an easy task with these five devils. Because their father has lovely black, also his daughters got very nice pigmentation and most of their noses are already black. Badger has a few of brown hairs, so we will see if she will be tricolour as her sisters in the end.
Third week was very peaceful. Girls were learning catwalk, their communication is much more frequent and they attempt their first games. Fly is setting them aside slowly, so girls had their first raw meat and enjoyed it very much. By the end of week, we moved them to a bigger whelping box, where they can explore more of the world. They are happy for that. They enjoyed it so much, that they learnt to go though handles outside, after we closed them back for good night.
We expected ther joy of new bigger whelping box to last a bit longer. As soon as they discovered new space behind doors of their box, they did not hesitate and try to climb over the doors. Broke is doing the best at this and she is happy to share the knowledge with her sisters. She also teach them that when the doors are closed and you can not climb over, you can start to cry and two legged being will come and open them. This week is a big change. Girls are awake much more, they explore, communicate and we have so much fun with them. We also noticed big change in their hygiene habits. Fly is not cleaning after them now, so we added dog tiolets into their box. Girls are using them, for which we are very grateful :D As they are 4 weeks now, they were again dewormed and their nails were cut.
Time of wider socialisation circles. Girls are everywhere - living room, kitchen, downstairs, in the garden in a cottage and in the yard with chickens. What a busy time they have and they have to explore everything - trees, bushes, mud, puddles and also strandge being of the other kinds - chickens - these are the best! We like Raf - he is playing with us. Bearkly is a bit moody so we do not push him that much. The huge mountain of dreadlocks is Hodor and he is hiding from us in his kennel :D
We are enjoying ourselves and explore everything. We have many visitors besides our friends, family and our breeder, who says we have to behave as these people are our future owners. But we have a bit different oppinion and behave as true terriers - we run, bark, bite and in general enjoy each day fully. We were dewormed again, which did not made us happy, but it is said it is necessary....especially because we eat the hen poo.
In the beginning of the week we went to see the vet, who checked our ears, eyes, bellies and bites. She also listened to our hearts and gave us our first vaccination. We were all so brave and behaved as s true terriers should ;) We are also riding a lot in a car and we met a lot of new friends - dogs and people.
The girls are not babies anymore, but terrier devils. They are runnung, biting, plucking, tugging everything and everywhere...as they shloud be doing. At the moment the best toy is Hodor who stopped hiding from them. The girls love his dreadlocks and Hodor is becoming terrier playground.
Our time with the girls is comming to an end. We prepare their starter packs for their new homes, give them last advice for their trips home and we are happy for their new owners. The first one to go was Bazooka, later Badger, Beretta, Broke and the last was Burn. They were amazing and we will miss them very much.
Badger BCH - "Bed" stayed in Czech. Together with her new owners they will hunt. She will not be alone for playing though, her buddy will be her owners son.
Beretta BCH - "Pipsa" moved to Finland and joind a small pack of hunting dogs, she is the first terrier though. She should be into hunting as welll.
Burn BCH - "Bella" stayed in Czech, in a place where she should be the first terrier after long row pointing dogs and become a hunting dog. Her new family has big plans, so we hope to hear about her in the future.
Broke BCH - "Broukí" stayed in Czech and joined a pack of JRT and 4 bullies. She will be used for hunting of wild pigs and earth dog work.
Bazooka BCH - "Bazuka" moved to our friend's place in Denmark to join a small pack of terriers. She will be used for earth works in wild nature and if we are lucky she could have puppies in the future.
